Analysts say Ron Paul World of Warcraft march won’t win votes

The rally held for presidential candidate Ron Paul in Azeroth might be considered ground-breaking, but local experts say that it had a weak influence by the voting options for the coming elections.
Even though he is not very familiar with the World of Warcraft, Adan Probolsky, an Irvine Republican political pollster said of the rally organizers, “I commend them for their activism, but I think it has no net effect on voters.” He added that, “When it comes to direct voter contact, the Net really hasn’t developed itself yet.”
Probolsky considers the Web as a valuable medium in organizing supporters, finding volunteers and raising contributions for candidates. In order to win, candidates must still rely on currently established methods, such as TV and the media.
Sherry Bebitch Jeffe, a University of Southern Carolina political analyst, said that the name of Ron Paul will be brought to the minds to young gamers who are likely not able to vote in elections.
Regarding that situation, she commented that, “I think the main reason for the rally is to have the media focus on it, and next have some voters in the United States talking about Ron Paul.”
