H ey Gang! So if you’re like me, you’re probably so burned out from running the Daily heroics that your brain has exploded all over your keyboard. Spontaneous Combustion! BAM! The situation that most everyone’s still in is a couple of different things: A) You still need Frost Emblems for gear B) You still need Triumph Badges for gear C) You have absolutely nothing else to do with your time D) You are a masochistic person and enjoy the pain that it brings because it makes you feel alive Well, what ever combination you’re situation is right now, you still need to force yourself to run them. Most of the time, if you bring a buddy, it makes it 10x better
Exciting times! On the latest Twitter Dev Chat , a fun little inquiry for old 5-mans came up: do you think we’ll get to see older instances given the heroic makeover? It’s already been confirmed that both Shadowfang Keep and Deadmines will be made heroic, mostly for their own story purposes.

Patch 3.3.2 is rolled out on the US realms today, and the EU realms tomorrow. Normally I don’t post about patches much, because there’s tons of sites out there who cover it better than I could, but as there are a couple protection warrior changes coming to us, I need to evaluate how this will impact my playstyle.
Hi all! Though I am a very inconsistent blogger, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my 5 man healing post was very well received and linked on WoW Insider to boot! I figured it out when I came on my website one day to see 10 new comments on the post when I’m lucky to get 1 or 2 on a post. One of these comments came from an infamous blogger. Said blogger’s comment consisted of only an url linking to their version of a 5 man healing guide.

Reader Unst?ppable writes in with a question I thought would benefit others: ” Does the Bladestorm aggro problem ever get better? What I mean is, I’ve seen it countless times, the arms warrior enters the dungeon, the tank lets out a sigh (sometimes it’s me), we pull the first group and everything goes fine, until he hits that Bladestorm button. That’s when somehow he manages to pull aggro from every mob and their mom and makes both the healer’s and the tank’s lives hell or usually ends up dying within seconds .” Part of the problem here is that certain classes/specs have no aggro dump or reduction ability and as a result their big DPS moves generate a lot of threat

My guild is special. No, really
A few posts back long-time reader/commenter Phil mentioned he was going with an AoE spec for trash. I ended up pulling the plug on my dusty PvP spec and switched it over to try out Enhancement Shaman AoE.
Most tanks are control freaks. As a matter of fact, you should hope that your tank is a control freak, because the ones who shrug off a mob running around loose are the ones you probably don’t want tanking your run anyway. With that in mind, there are several player abilities that, while great for soloing or PvP, don’t make the transition to a 5-man very well.
Recent In-Game Fixes – January 4th A small round of hotfixes to kick off the new year! Quote from: Bornakk ( Source ) Listed below are recent fixes we have applied to the game. Keep in mind that some of these changes may not be active until after the realm has been restarted

The addition of the new 5-mans plus the easy availability of Emblems of Triumph call for an update for the gear list for protection warriors who are just hitting 80. If you follow the list, you should be able to hop into the raiding scene in little time. It’s never been easier

Our buddy Rufus from the WoW LJ brings word of a sneaky change in the recent patch: raid warnings (those warnings that pop up in the middle of your screen, created by typing “/rw” while leading a raid) no longer work in parties. Apparently you have to be in a raid to actually toss off a warning.
Yesterday, Bornakk said clearly that the Battered Hilt drop that starts the Quel’delar questline was dropping at the right rate , which is much less than when the patch first hit. And then of course, in last night’s fixes, they went ahead and increased the drop rate anyway . He also claimed there were no plans to make it BoP, but who knows what’ll happen in the future
