Major Aion Patch Details Surface IGN It can run in the background and alert you when it finds a suitable party a la World of Warcraft’s rather decent LFG-button.
Believe it or not it is not just gold farmers and bots that play this game. There are still many fans of the game who want to see improvements to their game and it looks like finally after six months many of the players concerns are being addressed
In the vein of the World of Warcraft magazine, Massively reports that NCSoft has announced a magazine for the MMORPG Aion. Unlike the quarterly World of Warcraft magazine , the Aion magazine will be digital-only and come out every four weeks, or roughly every month. The Aion magazine also features bonus in-game items for players who pre-order, such as armor dyes and consumables.
H ey Gang! So, other than buying a new home, playing Aion, Playing Dragon Age: Origins, fencing (the sport not the act of putting up a fence), full time job, and?being a wife,?I’ve had all sorts of time to play WoW (/end sarcasm).
H ey Gang! So I’ve been going back and listening to some of the old Twistednether blogcasts . I wanted to listen to some of the older interviews and see what changes and topics were hot over a year ago. It’s truly a flash back for people who’ve been playing the game for some time.
RMT is a very emotional subject, and people have a tendency to jump from one argument to another totally unrelated one.
Filed under: World of Warcraft , Fantasy , Screenshots , One Shots Believe it or not, not every single MMO gamer on the face of the planet has actually played World of Warcraft . There are still those who are just now checking into the 800-pound gorilla, such as today’s One Shots contributor, Maldronnar ! He writes in to give us his thoughts: I think I was the last MMO fan on the planet to play World of Warcraft , but I picked the game up for $5 on Amazon over the holidays and recently started playing with some friends from my office
M uggle though I am, I still have need of a time-shifting necklace.? Do you ever just go through one of those streaks where time doesn’t seem to agree with you?? It’s agonizingly slow when you’re away from everything you could possibly do, but then it speeds by like a racing freight train when you actually try to get stuff done.? Despite the dangers of the fabled necklace from Harry Potter, I’m fairly certain that I would not run into myself either, thereby making my head essplode or go bonkers.? I’ve just been all over the place this last week.? Even gaming wise.? Especially gaming wise.? So here’s the cliff notes version with some random bits of insight thrown in for spice.? I promise it’s not just a Weekend Update.? Maybe. Due to everything getting rescheduled and the weekly quest being ICC, I didn’t raid this week.? At all.? Normally I’m a three day per week raider (short nights, mind you, but nights all the same).? Tonight we hit ICC up again from scratch to get the weekly knocked out.? Monday has become our day.? I’m excited, but it means that I have zero raid information to talk about.? I’m going to try using my ‘lock portal on the gunship battle.? It might be cool. We’ve been doing RL house hunting, which is kind of like grinding for rep in an alternating busy/not busy area.? Sometimes stuff’s being snatched up as quick as you look at it.? Other times it’s been on the market for 3 years.? Go figure.? I wish the tag system in houses were more like WoW (first caster wins) and less like Aion (most damage wins).? We’re first time home buyers though, so what the bleep do we know?? In any case, it has nothing to do with gaming except that as a gamer, the Loft/Office is a big selling point for us.? If that shit can’t fit two computers and will have heat issues or looks like a shoebox, we’re not buying.? Anyone else have gaming impact their RL purchasing like that?
I ‘ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Bloggers love email.? Still, many of us don’t seem to get a whole lot.? Perhaps it’s because our emails are conveniently hidden in the scary and un-entertaining “about” page (up over there on the right side, if you’re curious).? In any case, the few emails I do get usually contain very good questions.? Often, they inspire a blog post of their own.? Such is the case today.

In any case, the few emails I do get usually contain very good questions.? Often, they inspire a blog post of their own.? Such is the case today. It was several weeks ago that I got an email from Deidra.? Here’s how it reads: I have been in a few relationships where I have played WoW with my partner in crime at the time and I have had medium success playing with them and their different classes
Filed under: World of Warcraft , Events, in-game Love is in the air in World of Warcraft and the event has completely changed this year over previous years. WoW.com has the latest on this Valentine’s Day-themed event.
Inktomi is upset about a recent wave of Aion accounts being hacked, which apparently orginated from NCSoft’s account website not being very safe. A bug on that website could result in you ending up on the account management site of another player, where you could easily change his password and then proceed to log into the game and steal all his stuff.
S o far this year, weekends have been for two things: drinking and playing Aion.? Sure, I’ve squeezed in my WoW daily heroic, but since all my raiding is done during the week, weekends are catch-up time in the world of Atreia.? Of course, NCSoft is helping their case with yet another double-experience weekend, and hints at more to come.? All in all, the double experience has been a great idea for a young game.? Say what you want about the game and the company, but I think they’ve done a helluva job trying to compete in the World of MMOs (In which Blizz is both the Lich King and the Queen of the Dragons).? A lot of folks I know have left Aion for greener pastures, be they console games, single player RPGs, or just general disenchantment with the game type.? Thus, coupled with the excitement going on in WoW at the moment (And Icecrown IS exciting.? So are easy epix, even if you disagree with the design), I’ve written a lot less on Aion lately.? I’d like to point out a few things to get us started today.? First, the botter problem has been handled.? The community said “Many Bots, Handle It” and NCSoft wielded a mighty ban-hammer.? It wasn’t a perfect approach, it screwed some folks over I’ve heard, and it hasn’t completely removed all bots.? However, I think anyone playing can agree that the atmosphere has gotten 100% better.? You still get the occasional spam and see the private store adds, but there is no longer the deluge when you first log in and I haven’t filled up my block list in nigh-on two months now.? I mean, that used to be a weekly occurrence, so you have to give them credit for improvement.? Even WoW still isn’t perfect after five years of western market experience, though obviously Blizzard is the old hat when it comes to this stuff, setting the bar quite high. Speaking of WoW, for those expecting the leveling/gaming experience to be as smooth as WoW…
After the Raid I grabbed my baby Druid who had just hit 79 the night before. I’ve got him in IceCrown getting rep with Ebon Blade and Argent Crusade so I can wear their tabards in dungeons

I was going to post something really ranty and negative about the whole Elephant of DPS is easy.? After I’d written it though, I decided it was not worthy of posting.? Believe it or not, that doesn’t often happen for me.? When blogging, I’m pretty much a stream-of-consciousness writer.? A lot of times I’ll do research and grab links and what not, but for the most part, what you get is me sitting down for a half hour and pounding something out that’s on my mind.? I also write fiction on the side, and that process is totally different.? I’d like all the extra time and thought makes my “serious” fiction better than my IC Friday posts, but there are definitely times when I feel like all the time spent editing is a waste, because just writing roughly isn’t always a bad thing. Writer’s Corner aside, I didn’t want to completely scrap all of what I’d done, plus I have a few other random thoughts bumping around that aren’t really worthy of a full post of their own..
