As I mentioned in the previous post, Tobold the tauren shaman of Single Abstract Noun is now level 20. What I didn’t mention is that he has 851 gold pieces in his pocket, having earned 1,092 gold over his live already, starting from nothing, and with no outside help. That is something I *am* proud of.

Patch 3.3.3 Mounts Patch 3.3.3 introduced a couple of new mounts and I think it’s time for a recap! Celestial Steed The Celestial Steed is probably the most impressive mount of his patch, it looks like a mix of Invincible and Algalon. I’m not really sure where this mount will drop for the moment but considering how cool it looks, I wouldn’t expect it to be widely available.

Make sure your account is protected… Over the weekend Blizzard alerted World of Warcraft players of the first ever recorded hacking of an Authenticator protected account:
Just a quick update from from our friends at World of Raids about the current situation regarding circumvented authenticators .
MMOCrunch reports: “The worst possible thing to happen to a MMO player is getting their account hacked. All the work that you put in to your account can be gone and the process of getting your character and items back is a painful and long process. Companies of course take steps to protect customers like Blizzard’s Authenticator for World of Warcraft but recent events show that even these aren’t fool proof.”
Several readers in the open Sunday thread alerted me to a report that the WoW authenticator has been hacked , including confirmation by Blizzard . The virus intercepts your authenticator code, sends a wrong one onwards (causing you to get an error message), and sends the right one to the hackers, who then have to use it immediately to get into your account. Well, no account security measure is ever perfect, and your account is still a lot safer with an authenticator than without one.
It has been brought to our attention that Blizzard’s technical support department is currently handling a security exploit that is, in a limited capacity, circumventing authenticators. Before we get into the details, please do not panic
Trojan succesfully hacks Authenticator Protected Accounts A new virus spawned on the internet a few days ago and seems to be the first trojan capable of hacking a WoW account protected by an Authenticator. It was confirmed by Blizzard a few hours ago. Quote from: Kropacius ( Source ) After looking into this, it has been escalated, but it is a Man in the Middle attack.
