Weekend round up.
Did first 4 bosses on ICC 25 man - My better upgrades are going to come from 25 so I should do them more often. Don’t need much loot in 10’s.

Cozmo from GTFOOTF pointed out that so many of us bloggers are playing Wow in some new or different wa y to maintain our motivations to keep playing, and speaking to Kiwired from One of these Alts who has rolled even more Alts with SAN – how SAN ( Single Abstract Noun ) has come about at the right time for him to fill in the gaps between now and the expansion. Alts – Special projects – who will survive this downturn – or shall we see more Phoenix raiders ‘die’ and then resurrect in time for the expansion with grand stories of other games, and stuff like real life stories. The result of a current case of Altolism or Is it ADD is now a Level 20 Shammy – I’m feeling a little guilty
My wee tanks on Alliance side are progressing through a few different instances, with Wailing Caverns being one of the ones that comes up regularly whenever I put myself into the Dungeon Tool. Wow, what a series of tests that instance is! Dungeon Tool Is No Way To Learn Wailing Caverns Dancing Dranaei Tank This is the first conclusion I’ve come to, after running 3-4 full WC’s on my Druid and my Warrior, and many failed attempts on my Shaman healer. The logic behind the statement is that Wailing Caverns is a twisty, turny, confusing instance at the best of times, but if you’re trying to learn the route, the Dungeon Tool is likely NOT going to be your friend.
The latest Blizzard Insider newsletter released recently and with it came an interview with Scott “Daelo” Mercer and Greg “Ghostcrawler” Street about Arthas, the Lich King, and the stories leading up to the Fall of the Lich King content patch.? Check it out below! Quote from: Blizzard ( Source ) Arthas! The blood of your father… of your people… demands justice! Come forth, coward, and answer for your crimes! Highlord Bolvar Fordragon In the Fall of the Lich King content update (patch 3.3), Arthas Menethil, one of the most sinister and iconic antagonists of the Warcraft universe, concludes his tragic tale in a final confrontation with the Horde and Alliance
You may remember some images from BlizzCon 2009 that showed the map of Azeroth with each zone colored in various tones, from green to yellow to red.? These images depicted the magnitude of the changes taking place to classic zones in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm — including major shifts in level ranges for some zones. A while back Leviathonlx speculated on the level ranges of the zones in the images, and thanks to the recent WoW Magazine — which is very much a great read and worth every penny — that speculation has been confirmed.? Scrolls of Lore originally posted the below image, and they have a discussion going about it , so you’ll want to check it out. The biggest changes to northern Eastern Kingdoms will be very substantial shifts in level range for both of the Plaguelands, and the addition of a new neutral port.? For south Kalimdor, it will be southern Barrens and Thousand Needles — both being boosted in level range — as well as some minor tweaks to Feralas to allow leveling there a bit earlier than currently.
There’s been some interesting chatter going on around the internet lately about mysterious in-game earthquakes happening throughout Azeroth. Seemingly at random the screen will shake back and forth for a few moments. There are no visible mobs or other occurrences that would cause this
Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a world… in a land… there was a zone-specific Looking For Group channel.
L ately, I’ve been playing a lot of massive multiplayer online first person shooters (MMOFPS, or specifically: Modern Warfare 2).? If you’ve ever seen The Guild, then you may know that there is definitely a difference between the MMOFPS player and the MMORPG (you should know this acronym by now) player.? Yet, as I’ve been playing, I’ve been wondering just how different those players really are . In The Guild, Riley (the FPS player) and our red-headed heroine (Felicia Day aka Codex) are portrayed as having almost nothing in common (except maybe Zaboo, but this isn’t a gossip blog, now is it?).? Personally, I’ve always been a fan of both styles of games.? Ever since grabbing three of your friends for a night of Goldeneye on the N64 became socially acceptable, and yes, even popular (dare I say it), the FPS genre has been a staple in my gaming diet.? In fact, I’d almost say I’m more social about FPS games than I am about RPG games.? I mean, FPS games are a blast to play with friends and often dull on the one-player side, whereas RPG games are usually quite stellar as a one-player but can lose some of the epic-ness as a multiplayer game.? Not that I don’t love myself some MMORPGs, but the truth of it is that some of the story is lost in the process of making it an MMO. ? And story, while pretty much optional in an FPS, is quite necessary in an RPG.? In any case, my polygamerous (#iblamesyrana) nature led me to question the accuracy of the portrayal in The Guild.? Now, I love the show and so I have to point out that the relationship wouldn’t be nearly as funny or entertaining without the extreme characterizations.? After all, that’s sort of why we all watch it, right?? Not because we actually identify with any of the characters.? Oh no, never that.? We’re all quite healthy and balanced individuals
Picture C/o Wikipedia “The rules are, there are no rules” – Grease, Leo, Scorpians Member My somewhat Gank free status seems to have been revoked. I have been getting a little cocky
With the World of Warcraft 5 Year Anniversary now underway, it prompted me to reflect back upon when I first started exploring the World of Azeroth as a level 1 Hunter. It was sometime in February of 2006 when I emerged at the starting zone in Teldrassil… and well, the rest is history
Neophyte warrior Meryl of Aman’Thul has a story to tell. While waiting for a three-hour tour from Booty Bay to Ratchet, Meryl glitched out, force-quit the game, and ended up in a no man’s land underneath Arathi Highlands
On Monday, to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of World of Warcraft, we had a chance to interview both Greg Street and Cory Stockton about how the game and its development has progressed throughout the years.
I have a vague recollection of watching the Mr T cartoon as a kid ( I am showing my age) however Mr T never crossed my mind at all when playing warcraft. That was untill ” I’m Mr T and I’m a Night Elf Mohawk ” The mohawk was awesome! – Hey we want mohawks! – and the male Night Elves got mohawks. ( BUT NOT THE CHICKS! – WHERES MY NIGHT ELF MOHAWK! Eh.
Aside from the usual laughs and story developments, this week’s hot topic seems to be the new virtual pets for real money feature from the Blizzard store .
Some World of Warcraft quests have taken on a life of their own. These quests are emblazoned in our minds like the shining sun

I’m not raiding… Ok, maybe it’s not that simple but that’s a good start. Raiding brought me some of the best times in game – it brought me encounters and teamwork and an ‘omg we finally beat it’ but it’s also brought me some of the worst – elitist attitudes, feeling like I have to stick to one main character all the time , having to get x or y buff for the raid, having to do stuff when I’m not in the mood and, of course, the stress over herding 25 cats around a raid instance
The first thing I thought when I saw the new LFG interface coming in patch 3.3 was what I said on last week’s podcast : that’s cool, but where’s the LFG channel? If you remember way back during patch 2.0.1, when Blizzard originally released the LFG system, there was quite a clamor raised when they took away the LFG channel then, so much so that they eventually had to resurrect it .
Just like the Primal Ooze from Un’goro Crater — except less slimy and without bones sticking out of it — the World of Warcraft comic has split into two distinct books. Just as promised , the series from Wildstorm will now also feature Horde characters in addition to an Alliance story
Hallows end is in full swing now and all the little (and big) boys and girls of Azeroth are zipping about from tavern to tavern (is a tavern really a place for little boys and girls?) thrusting their grimy paws into huge pumpkins full of treats. Yummy! Think of where all those hands have been! All over Azeroth and Outland! Thats the goal of the Tricks and Treats of Azeroth achievement
