Answering the StarCraft II Beta QQ

The forums, my email, hell even my voice-mail is full of QQ . “This is too hard! This is bullshit! This is imbalanced!” Now to a certain degree I can understand balancing issues and the fact that Blizzard’s matchmaking system needs a few tweaks and a much bigger player base to pull opponents from because as it stands now you have about as much a chance to face an equal enemy player as you do somebody ranked infinitely higher than yourself. But the game is far from broken and with a few minor tweaks, you can find yourself on the delivering end of the ass beating.

Being ‘left out’ is part of RP

No matter what group you are a part of, how many friends you have, how established you are in the group, and how much everyone loves your character, you will get left out of RP . Other people will write stories in which you will not participate, and they will be awesome and amazing, and you will want to play too, but you won’t be invited, even if you ask. People will leave RP gatherings to do things “in private” and you will get left behind at the bar with nothing to do.

Insider Trader: End-game crafting materials 101

Insider Trader is your inside line on making, selling, buying and using player-made products. Reader Frank recently wrote me and asked for a bit of help with the “staple” products for each profession. Frank said, “Back in the days of Burning Crusade , I had a pretty good grip on the two or three raw materials that went across each of the professions

Being poor in a mature economy

The two alts I made last year are twinked to the max: Heirloom items, the best gear and consumable money can buy, and in some extreme cases I even had expensive enchantments on very low level gear. There is a certain fun to be had when playing a completely overpowered low level character. But for Tobold the tauren shaman, my new alt in the blogging community guild, I wanted to try something different

Insider Trader: A crafting bazaar

When most people talk about making money with their professions, they usually get pretty focused on Trade channel and the Auction House . It makes a lot of sense, really, because these are the two main avenues of selling in the game. The Trade channel is named Trade for a reason, and if you can brush aside all the Chuck Norris and murloc jokes, you can fairly easily broker a deal

Picking A Professions For Profit

Picking a profession may be a difficult choice for you when starting a character or power leveling a profession.

A Daring Rescue

A crowd gathered around a large wooden structure in the middle of the town square.? The female Dwarf had a crazed look in her eye as she was led up the creaking wooden stairs.? Her arms and neck were secured into holes in the structure by several armed guards.? Despite the gathering, the armed men wore a bored look on their face.? It was just another trip to the stocks. Two heavily cowled individuals at the rear of the crowd spoke in hushed tones emanating from deep shadows that obscured their faces. “What in the name of the Light is she doing?” the first asked, a female voice.

Material Wealth: Making Money Off BC And Pre BC Materials

Most of the World of Warcraft players are currently busy with their raids and PVP at higher levels; only a few will take the time to venture back into the old Azeroth to re experience the intense moments of original warcraft. This is absolutely understandable as the old continent does not have much to offer to the high leveled players. The only reason you would return is to level another character, help another player, or you may just go around and gank towns and cities of the opposite faction.
