The start of any expansion is a rough time for PvP. I only have two expansion packs to draw on here, but they both followed the same pattern
Every week, Shifting Perspectives explores issues affecting druids and those who group with them . This week, we save the world (of Warcraft). Originally this week’s article was going to concern stomping Karazhan from top-to-bottom as a feral/resto druid, and then I got Big Bad Wolf for the opera event.
A short story, in three acts. Act 1: When I first leveled Annorah, the RNG tried to tell me something. I’d leveled her as elemental, and was happily an elemental shaman, until one day in Karazhan I realized I had a full mail healing kit and 3/4 of an enhancement set – both of which were better than my elemental gear.
Inspiration comes from two places, I Sheep Things… and Righteous Orbs. A guild is many things. A tag over your head you can be proud of.
Once upon a time, ten Paladins went to Karazhan .

I had a lot of fun in World of Warcraft this weekend, leveling up my paladin from 68 to 71. I found that the Dungeon Finder would let me do random Wrath of the Lich King normal dungeons starting from level 69, so I ended up getting my first emblem of triumph before even reaching level 70, which given the fact that you can’t use them before level 80 is somewhat silly. But compared to the really, really bad loot Blizzard hands out as reward for the random Burning Crusade dungeons, the emblems are an improvement.
A Dedicated Raiding Guild is a post from: Aurdon’s Mage Blog “We’re an older guild with real life commitments, and aggro-generating spouses, that come before any video game.
A m I the only Catholic that gets a small, juvenile kick out of fish sandwiches during lent?? Yes, I’m Catholic.? For those who don’t pay attention to such things, this means that today is an important day: Ash Wednesday.? The beginning of Lent.? Now, I’m not going to go all Holy Roller on you and explain stuff.? If you don’t already know what Lent is and want to, Wikipedia that shit.? It’s not light reading, but it might be Light reading.? The humorous point that I’m trying to get to is the method by which I usually realize Lent is coming.? You see, around this time every year, nearly every fast food establishment begins to advertise deals on their Fish Sandwhiches.? You may have noticed this.? If you have, rest assured it is completely due to the Catholic tradition of not eating meat on Fridays (and Ash Wednesday).? I’m not going to get into the theology of it, don’t worry, the point is that it’s a long standing tradition that a lot of people take part in (or semi-take part in, or ignore, as the case may be).? I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, it’s just a tradition, and it’s heralded by Fish Ads.? Since I’m a teenager at heart still, sitting down with my work pals and ordering the Fish Sandwich always makes me blush and giggle.? So sue me.? Life is full of little pleasures like this.? If you don’t get it, or are shaking your head at my immaturity, I raise my right butt cheek and fart in your general direction.? Your father was a hamster and your mother smelled of eldiberries.? But here I am talking about Fish Ads when I really wanted to be talking about Zombie Adds.? Different things, at least we hope so. Since work has crit all over me this week, and house hunting doesn’t help, I’m reduced to small, perhaps trivial, yet quick posts.? That or relying on my wife.? She did her duty yesterday, so today is my turn to kick out something small and fast.? Sort of like your father in the above Monty Python reference.? (How did you think you got here?). Disjointed though this post may be, I promise I have a point.? It’s a warlocky point though, so if you got this far expecting something about a Mage, I pity you.? Mostly for the Mage part.? Your alt is probably a hunter too.? For the rest of us, there are Warlocks.? The best healing and DPSing class in the game.? Warlocks also have wonderful memories.? (Sometimes they have wonderful mammaries too, but that’s something else and I won’t go there today.)? If our memories serve us as our minions do, then we’ll all recall after a moment the glorious days of Karazhan whereby one lucky member of the coven was asked to be on “Seed Duty” for a particular fight.? Remember it?? What was the guy’s name?? (My minions don’t cooperate sometimes)
As most of you know, I recently “revived” my very neglected 80 Troll Priest and turned her into an Aely dual-class priest Alliance side. This put me with a fresh level 80 discipline priest, a class I’ve not actively healed with since Karazhan.
Image Courtesy of Geico Insurance The patch 3.3.2 includes a few amendments to Heroic Dungeons and how they’re played. Entire packs of mobs are being deleted. Bosses abilities are being shortened or being made less frequent
What’s the proper term for a gathering of warlocks? A conclave? A summoning?
A bright flash outside of the large wooden house signaled its owner’s arrival. Fulguralis threw open the door and walked in, shaking off the remains of some Icecrown snow.? He strutted over to the kitchen table and sat down.? From his pockets, he produced a piece of parchment and an inkwell.? An old quill lay on a nearby counter and, with a spot of magic, it appeared on the table as well.? The lanterns overhead suddenly burst into flame.? Frowning thoughtfully, the Warlock dipped the quill into the ink
Three years ago today I married my best friend. We’ve known each other since we were both in High School, though we didn’t start a romantic relationship until five or six years into our friendship.
Robin’s post about fun with kiting yesterday immediately reminded me about the old days of 40 man raiding. Don’t worry, this isn’t a nostalgia trip per se… in many ways raiding is better now than it’s ever been…
No I’m not talking about being too lazy to walk back after a wipe (I always run btw). I’m talking about lamenting for the days of yore when I was in my fondest guild of Kel’thuzad. We were not considered by far one of the top guilds but we sure did have fun.
Do you remember Shattrath City ? It was the busy, bustling hub of the Outland
Toward the end of Burning Crusade I stopped playing my main. No reason.
While this was originally reported by IncGamers four days ago after seeing a WoW-Europe forum thread , there weren’t yet enough reports of this to really justify a followup news post.? However, today WoW.com also posted on it , and there’s a WoW-NA forum thread backing up the previous thread.? It looks like patch 3.3 started the Cataclysm pre-launch event, though for now it’s only minor earthquakes…
