I’ve got an article up today on Paladin Schmaladin on how to run Heroics as a Paladin Tank and not go OOM constantly.

Breakfast Topic: When the love comes back

Lately I am supremely enthused about my shaman. Fist weapons! Zapping things! Windfury! Turning that guy into a frog! That guy is totally a frog! Now he’s on fire! The best thing about the enhancement shaman playstyle I’m working with (designed for five mans and the occasional 10 raid) is working out for myself how to glyph and spec for it. It’s admittedly not the most efficient spec, relying on a lot of 3 second Fire Nova blasts in big trash pulls, but it’s undeniably fun

Not a solution to RMT

Rohan from Blessing of Kings posted a reaction to a proposal that Blizzard should start selling gold to ruin third-party gold sellers, and thinks that this would be okay, if the money went to charity . Through the charity solution he wants to avoid Blizzard having incentives to tune the game that it can only be played smoothly when buying gold.

So, you’re bored, what do you do? Heroics Edition

H ey Gang! So if you’re like me, you’re probably so burned out from running the Daily heroics that your brain has exploded all over your keyboard. Spontaneous Combustion! BAM! The situation that most everyone’s still in is a couple of different things: A) You still need Frost Emblems for gear B) You still need Triumph Badges for gear C) You have absolutely nothing else to do with your time D) You are a masochistic person and enjoy the pain that it brings because it makes you feel alive Well, what ever combination you’re situation is right now, you still need to force yourself to run them. Most of the time, if you bring a buddy, it makes it 10x better

Blue posts, MMO Report, Comics

The weeks starts slowly because it’s pretty hard to connect to the PTR these days, hopefully we will see a new PTR build very soon to fix the current issues. Is Patch 3.3.3 going live this week? Not a chance

Linkage

Tonight I finally knocked out one of the tasks I’d been meaning to get to for months… a WoW links page . I’m sure I probably missed a couple sites, but the ones I mentioned are the few I have stored in my short term memory.

Cataclysm Stat Changes and Moonkin

Eyonix made a very big and very good post on the official forums today titled: Cataclysm Stat & System Changes. In the post he provides a lot more detail on the stat changes we will see in Cataclysm. A lot of the information is a rehash of what we heard at Blizzcon and on the forums over the past few months, but there is also quite a bit of new information that we need to ponder

Focus Casting: Macros And You

I had a revelation last week. It’s one I’m not afraid to share because I suspect there are a lot of players in the same position as me. That position is peering out from round a corner with a bemused grin and crimson cheeks, watching the macro users of our raid do ten things at once while showering the raid in light and laughing at the boss

3.3.3 Oh Hai Frost

Hi again, it’s Imon?boat (notice the new accent!) now that Im settle in my new home lets talk about 3.3.3 and how it affects death knights Blizzard sensing that frost was being ignored and wanting to make our arena lives a little more miserable has given the frost tree some changes.

Blue Posts Galore

There have been a few Blue Posts focused on monkin over the past week. None of them are huge but I would like to highlight them in case they have been missed.

3.3 Demonology Warlockery

F or some time now, I’ve been running my second spec as Demonology. I primarily use the spec for the daily random heroic that I run, but I’ve also lately found it quite fun in Battlegrounds. I want to go on record here at that start saying that everything I learned about this spec, I learned from the late Abigore (not that he’s died, mind you, just moved on to other things) and his wonderful guides .? Since he’s no longer blogging, I wanted to take the time to continue what he started, even if my advice will be somewhat more casual and less involved.? The spec is a great spec, and it deserves to be broadcast in it’s own right.? I will still (and probably always) raid Affliction, but Demonology has strengths where Affliction has weaknesses, making it perfect for a second spec.

Spiritual Guidance: Macros for priests

Every Sunday (and the occasional weekday) Spiritual Guidance offers holy and discipline priests advice on how to wield the holy light and groove to the disco night. Your hostess Dawn Moore will provide the music.

Solving post-patch addon woes

Lots of changes are on the horizon and with great change comes an awesome new Public Test Realm patch with a boatload of broken addons. Here’s a quick tip — one good way to pick out pieces of addons that you don’t necessarily know are a part of a specific addon or addon package is to use a simple mouse over macro . This one in particular: /script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage( GetMouseFocus():GetName() ); Create a macro with that script command and hover over a section of your user interface.
