Around Azeroth: For a thousand summers

Vendarvan of on Kael’Thas knows that you can’t hurry love. He’s decided to sit and wait for his true love, the Maiden of Winter’s Breath Lake , to warm up to his advances. When you can live for thousands of years, hanging around for a couple of years waiting for a date isn’t that big a deal.

The Colosseum: Athlete, paladin of Mug’thol

The Colosseum takes us inside the world of the Gladiator to interview some of the top Arena fighters on the battlegroups. Our goal is to bring a better understanding of the strategy, makeup, and work that goes into dueling it out for fame, fortune, and Frostwyrms

Around Azeroth: If wishes were fishes

Looking to hook the big one?

Phat Loot Phriday: Glorenzelg, High-Blade of the Silver Hand

Glorenzelg, High-Blade of the Silver Hand lives on multiple best-in-slot lists.

Balancing class strength and flavor

One of the things I hear a lot from other tanks (especially paladin tanks) is how much they envy Charge , and especially being able to Charge in combat . “Man, I’d give up X for Charge.” Usually what they want to give up is their shield throw , or their AoE taunt , which of course is not a terribly compelling idea: warriors have parallels for these abilities and charge isn’t one of them.

Hunter Tanking ICC: Prince Keleseth

Ahh… ICC is a marvelous thing, every encounter a new mechanic, every encounter a different way for a hunter to shine! Today I’ll be talking about one of the ideal bosses to plop a hunter on as tank, Prince Keleseth.

Shifting Perspectives: Changing Nature’s Grace

Every week, Shifting Perspectives explores issues affecting druids and those who group with them . This week, we’re heading back into the world of nasty, little over-budget talents bothering balance druids as we fight to save our 1 keys from total disaster. It’s been a harsh week in my little corner of the world

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: I cannot see the future

Frankly, the Bladestorm nerf is a minor one, albeit an extremely annoying minor one.

Ready Check: Core raid buffs

I’ve mentioned before that I’m a huge fan of Brian Wood’s post Skill vs.

Have a little links for my friends

There’s a lot of turnover in the blogging world. This crazy hobby (sometimes profession) is one that’s hard to keep up with

Death of the Niche Healer

Recently a topic has sprung up among many healers. T here are lots of blog posts popping up about it so I figured since I’ve been going on about it for a while now, I’ll add my two copper to the public domain here, but first a story. In the days of vanilla World of Warcraft, each faction had access to 3 healing classes

Around Azeroth: Kiko and the lavender moon

Yes, yes, it’s my second Los Lobos reference in as many days, but they’re a good band and “That Train Don’t Stop Here” is pretty tight. Anyway, Karli sent in this screenshot of her character using the Rituals of the New Moon to give her lupine friend some companionship.

Drama Mamas: Wake-up call to guild officers

The Drama Mamas are real-life mamas and experienced WoW players — and j ust as we don’t want our precious babies to be the ones kicking and wailing on the floor of checkout lane next to the candy, neither do we want you to become known as That Guy on your server. How to handle that sticky situation? Ask the Drama Mamas at DramaMamas@wow.com .

Cataclysm in PC Gamer UK, Blue posts

Cataclysm rumours/info now in PC Gamer UK VERY BIG Spoilers In the latest issue of PC Gamer (UK) is a 6 page article named ‘50 reasons to play Catalysm’. Why Traveling on Sydney Trains is like a Raid Instance

Pic from Wikimedia Commons user Alexanderino 1 There is always someone running late for the Raid Train. 2. In the mornings there is a boss at the end of the run

I’m not an Altoholic * hic

Cozmo from GTFOOTF pointed out that so many of us bloggers are playing Wow in some new or different wa y to maintain our motivations to keep playing, and speaking to Kiwired from One of these Alts  who has rolled even more Alts with SAN – how SAN   ( Single Abstract Noun ) has come about at the right time for him to fill in the gaps between now and the expansion. Alts – Special projects – who will survive this downturn – or shall we see more Phoenix raiders ‘die’ and then resurrect in time for the expansion with grand stories of other games, and stuff like real life stories.  The result of a current case of Altolism or Is it ADD is now a Level 20 Shammy – I’m feeling a little guilty

1v1 Balance

Ghostcrawler PostedI think my point there was that the healer will eventually run out of mana. If they are able to damage you while healing themselves…
