I’m 14 hours into Final Fantasy XIII, which curiously enough means I haven’t even left the “tutorial” part yet, which lasts for about 20 hours before you are given basic functionalities like choosing your group members or choosing where to go. So I’m not calling this a review. But as I’ll be away from my PS3 for the coming two weeks, that means I won’t write a review anytime soon
Today we feature the last of the European winners for Alienware’s Rise to Power contest. A Dead Bug’s Life is the creation of Erunno and Frozen DeathKnight , two of the luminaries who regularly post over on the Myndflame site. You should remember Erunno from his outstanding work with The White Drake , a movie that helped redefine visual storytelling in Wrath of the Lich King machinima
Blizzard has released a series of background information pages on the Gnomeregan and Echo Isles campaigns to be happening with the coming Cataclysm expansion.
H ey Gang! So yeah…
The devs have been speaking a little a bit about the new mastery system coming with Cataclysm , and while they’ve kept most of the specific numbers vague, there’s been a surprising amount of information one can read between the lines about death knights. Of course, it started with the frost death knight stats. The stats were solidly DPS oriented, providing damage, haste, and runic power generation.
WARNING : This post contains spoilers for Cataclysm, the upcoming expansion to World of Warcraft.
Recently a topic has sprung up among many healers. T here are lots of blog posts popping up about it so I figured since I’ve been going on about it for a while now, I’ll add my two copper to the public domain here, but first a story. In the days of vanilla World of Warcraft, each faction had access to 3 healing classes
Cataclysm rumours/info now in PC Gamer UK VERY BIG Spoilers In the latest issue of PC Gamer (UK) is a 6 page article named ‘50 reasons to play Catalysm’. The vast majority of what is covered is already known/confirmed, however, there appears to be verifcation of certain rumours first made here on MMO-champion in the days before Blizzcon but that were never confirmed nor denied. Just a note on the source before everyone starts screaming for links for scans
UGO Blizzard: World of Warcraft Not for Consoles Tom’s Hardware Guide If Blizzard is to make an MMO for a console, it won’t be World of Warcraft .
So, one of my more favorite guildmates (Ilcyira) has decided to make a video about something she and I have had several discussions about over the course of her reading of Arthas by Christie Golden. I have to warn you, it’s very NSFW (and contains a few spoilers), but I laughed. Enjoy! Oh, it’s also worth mentioning that this is the same Ilcyira who posted this next little gem on Youtube, too – she’s the singer, and her husband is the other voice you hear at the very beginning.
I suppose I should start with the obvious: Death Knights. Death Knights… well, they didn’t actually do so great this expansion.
It’s been a pretty alright time to be a lore nerd the past few days. Not only have we had some intriguing spoilers about the new goings on with the gnomes and the trolls , but we’ve had a look at the Ruby Sanctum , and with it had some hints of whats to come with the Cataclysm . Of course, at the same time, there’s frustrations as well
Ruby Sanctum – Info Compilation / Preview [Spoiler] Most of the Ruby Sanctum have been pushed in this patch and it looks like I have enough data in my hands for a small preview.
For the first time this week, the Icecrown Citadel raid saw the addition of the “tugboat” buff known as Hellscream’s Warsong and the Strength of Wrynn . Essentially, this buff will provide a 5% increase to raiders’ damage, healing, and health. Over time, that percentage increase will eventually reach a 30% buff
As a quick reminder, Too Many Annas is (and will remain) an expansion free zone until about 3-4 weeks before Cataclysm drops . I’ll happily do another round-up post when that time comes, like I did for Wrath of the Lich King, but until then?
WARNING : This post is chock full of spoilers. Spoilers like you would not believe. If you’d like to be surprised about anything involving the Echo Isles and what is contained within, I wouldn’t recommend continuing onward

W e interrupt this regular posting schedule to bring you a Fulguralis rant. To set the stage for this rant, you must view the previous post, in which Fuubaar uses a rather odd looking picture that initiated the following musing… I knew today was Fuu’s day to post so I didn’t get around to looking at things until the afternoon.? Her and I tend to IM each other a lot via Gmail chat at work, and she asked: “Did you see the picture.” My initial response was: “Yes, but I don’t get it.” She followed with: “Did you read the post.” So I went back and re-read the post just in case I’d missed something.? Nope.? “I still don’t get it,” Say I.
