An interesting quandary materialised at WoM headquarters last week. How do you raid lead as a new healer? Say you’re that new healer

I play pretty much 100% as Terran during the StarCraft II Beta so far. I played a little as Zerg and Protoss in some custom games but honestly, they got boring to me
Lately I am supremely enthused about my shaman. Fist weapons! Zapping things! Windfury! Turning that guy into a frog! That guy is totally a frog! Now he’s on fire! The best thing about the enhancement shaman playstyle I’m working with (designed for five mans and the occasional 10 raid) is working out for myself how to glyph and spec for it. It’s admittedly not the most efficient spec, relying on a lot of 3 second Fire Nova blasts in big trash pulls, but it’s undeniably fun
The Colosseum takes us inside the world of the Gladiator (Relentless, Furious, Deadly, Brutal, Vengeful, Merciless, and otherwise), to interview some of the top Arena fighters on the battlegroups. Our goal is to bring a better understanding of the strategy, makeup, and work that goes into dueling it out for fame, fortune, and Frostwyrms
As you can see from the above image, I love intellect gems. The guild jewelcrafter and I don’t even have to speak anymore
The actual dps increases are something more like adding Pyroblast to Torment the Weak and Empowered Fire. That may have missed the most recent patch notes. Buh
Every Wednesday, Chase Christian of Encrypted Text invites you to enter the world of shadows, as we explore the secrets and mechanics of the Rogue class. This week, we discuss the basics of a Mutilate build, and how to thrive as assassination.
Dodge the drama and become that player everyone wants in their group with the Drama Mamas . Lisa Poisso and Robin Torres are real-life mamas and experienced WoW players — and j ust as we don’t want our precious babies to be the ones kicking and wailing on the floor of checkout lane next to the candy, neither do we want you to become known as That Guy on your server
I’m a bit baffled by the thread on the Official Forums where 10 man Raiders are complaining that the first Arthas 10 man kill was done by 25 man raiders. When you decide to be a 10 man raider, what you are basically saying is that you don’t care about World or Server firsts. That’s just part of joining the 10 man scene
A fter I wrote the quick and easy patch notes post yesterday, I pretty much figured I was going to get the following question: How will you change your opening rotation with 3 stacks of Shadow Embrace? Haunt> SB> SB> rest of the dots?? Thus, I did some pre-emptive theorycrafting and research to inform my answer.? Even though I expected it, I still want to say thanks to Parpa who asked it.? This is a great question.? Nothing ventured, nothing gained.? Right?? I almost answered it with a comment, but I thought it deserved a post of its own.? So, how to answer
Patch 3.3.2 is rolled out on the US realms today, and the EU realms tomorrow. Normally I don’t post about patches much, because there’s tons of sites out there who cover it better than I could, but as there are a couple protection warrior changes coming to us, I need to evaluate how this will impact my playstyle.
First off, yes, I’m leaving Totem Talk . It’s been a good ride, and no, I’m not quitting the shaman class nor WoW.com
This is a guest post by Epiphanize, a Resto Druid, and co-host of Raid Warning . So you’ve just shaken the frost off of your branches and are staring down the entrance to Icecrown Citadel, the final raid of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. You and nine of your closest guildies (or 9 random pugs if your unlucky) are ready to face the challenges that await you in your quest to take down Arthas.
Every Wednesday, Chase Christian of Encrypted Text invites you to enter the world of shadows, as we explore the secrets and mechanics of the Rogue class. In this special edition, we cover the top 10 changes of 2009. We’ve been through a lot in 2009.
H ey Gang! I wanted to give all of you a break from Fulguralis’ “Warlockery” and get in to some good ol’ fashioned Tankin fun! /spits into a platoon *bing* My goal is to do similar posts that Ful has done but in a more “light-filled” way
The Protection Paladin Spec that I will be using for finishing up ToC & coming along with me into ICC is this: This spec has everything from mitigation/avoidance/high TPS/ & yes even DPS. I know a tank worried about DPS right? Well, the higher my DPS the higher my threat so there! I’m not terribly selfish…
A t this point we’ve covered speccing , glyphing and rotating . That leaves us really with two remaining fundamentals to cover what I would call the basics : Pet Choice and Stat Priority.? Then we’ll know what spells to use, what gear to wear, and what minion to call.? What else does a warlock need in life?? Pet Choice Guide As with last time when I attempted to create this guide, I meandered over to the EJ forums (I don’t have the link, but plan to go back and see if there are updates tonight..
S o we’ve already covered speccing.? Next we need to talk glyphing and rotating.? This second installment on How to Afflict Others with Warlockery will cover the art of slapping stickers on your spell book, as well as how to spin in circles with enough intensity to cause others to puke (no easy feat, I assure you). The Glyphs Previously, I had been running with the Corruption, Haunt, and Life Tap for majors.? Unending Breath, Souls, and Drain Soul rounded out my minors.? 3.3 brings more of the same, with one minor exception.? Here’s the breakdown.
I ‘m going to call this series: How to Afflict Others with Warlockery.? In the next few days we shall cover such basics as speccing, glyphing, rotating, petting, and gearing.? Some of those may sound dirty, and they are, but not in the way you think.? This is simply my patch 3.3 update for Aff’locking in the World of Warcraft.? As usual, the best place to start is with the spec, so off we go on the HAOWay to Hell… The Spec The most recent simulations preformed over at the Elitist Jerks forums point to an Affliction Warlock spec being the top dog, raid wise (at a T9 gear level).
Live 3.3 Death Knight Specs: DK DPS Heya guys!! So it looks like it’s time for 3.3 release. Tons of new toys to play with? Or just the same old thing?
