Phat Loot Phriday: Stakethrower

It’s time to face the facts. The vampires are out there. They lurk in the shadows of Silvermoon with their bare, glittering chests entrancing casual bystanders

Cataclysm tanking cooldown feedback wanted

Nethaera hit the forums this morning, asking for feedback from tanks around the globe.

Spooncraft does FFXIV: Disciplines of Magic

I already covered the disciplines of war and now its time to cover the remaining announced disciplines. We’ve got two more “combat” disciplines comprised of the spell-caster types and we’ve got some profession based disciplines.

Raid Rx: Healing Sindragosa

Every week, Raid Rx will help you quarterback your healers to victory! Your host is Matt Low , the grand poobah of World of Matticus and a founder of No Stock UI , a WoW blog for all things UI, macro, and addon related. Sindragosa is easily the most agonizing boss in the entire instance. I personally thought Professor Putricide was bad but once I got to her chamber and started several attempts, my faith in myself was shattered.

Resurrecting the Hellion in StarCraft II

Of all the Terran units I find that the Hellion needs the most work.

Answering the StarCraft II Beta QQ

The forums, my email, hell even my voice-mail is full of QQ . “This is too hard! This is bullshit! This is imbalanced!” Now to a certain degree I can understand balancing issues and the fact that Blizzard’s matchmaking system needs a few tweaks and a much bigger player base to pull opponents from because as it stands now you have about as much a chance to face an equal enemy player as you do somebody ranked infinitely higher than yourself. But the game is far from broken and with a few minor tweaks, you can find yourself on the delivering end of the ass beating.

The art of pricing

I hear this all the time: “Hurrr! Undercutters are ruining this market! Durrr!”. Today, we’re going to talk about this. Undercutting doesn’t ruin markets, high supply does

Godmodding and Griefing

I very rarely take on other bloggers around here, especially bloggers participating in fun things like Single Abstract Noun , the new “bloggy” guild that’s sprung up over on Argent Dawn. Unfortunately, I came across this today – The Single Abstract Noun Bad RP Challenge, and (as I’m sure you’re going to notice) it’s made me rather upset

Spooncraft does FFXIV: Disciplines of War

In FFXIV you don’t exactly have classes you choose at character creation. From what I gather you have certain disciplines that act exactly in the same way that the class system does in most other MMORPGs we’re familiar with.

Whiney Post Day .

So March 17th is Whiney Post Day according to Klepsacovic so here is my whine. Mwhahahaha I get to Whine 1st ( or get to be one of the first whiners.) See international time difference has it’s advantages

My Cataclysm Wish List: Bat Mounts

My Cataclysm Wish List: Bat Mounts is a post from: Aurdon’s Mage Blog I tried in past to do a series on “ What Blizzard Should Do ” but after a few posts it still felt clunky and didn’t turn quite into the series I wanted. The new and improved version is “My Cataclysm Wish List” which is ….well lets face it, going to be the exact same thing

Suggestions for Cataclysm

Now that the Lich King is out and with guilds actively working on Heroic mode Lich King in 25s, people are starting to look ahead with more urgency towards the impending Cataclysm release. We have already been hearing rumors and tidbits for weeks now. The complete overhaul of stats, talents and class balance changes stand to reinvent WoW for the 3rd time over.

Pointless Filler Post is Pointless

I hate so very many things. Illogical hatred, the kind of hatred that simply consumes your entire mind in an instant inferno of indescribable rage. A rage that, if it was in a game and possessed a tooltip, would say “ATYAGI*)(&!B %GBH!@HB DAGUDY!!!JDH KAHF@NF”.

The internet is getting less "inter"

Ultra-nationalism, having lead to two world wars, isn’t everybody’s favorite philosophy. Except, it appears, for media companies. On the one side you hear a lot on how the internet is propelling us into a bright new future, where broadband access allows us to access all sorts of media anywhere and how we like

Breakfast Topic: I will destroy you

(With apologies to anyone who played Mass Effect or who brings Jack along in ME2 .) More and more lately I use the dungeon finder as a pure stress release. I don’t sign up to tank: we seem to have hit a decent steady state on Stormstrike where a queue rarely lasts more than 10 minutes for DPS, so it’s safe for me to let someone else tank and play around with DPS ideas. It’s actually to the point where I’m looking forward to seeing exactly what kind of group I’ll get on any particular run.

Know Your Lore: The Twilight Dragonflight

The World of Warcraft is an expansive universe. You’re playing the game, you’re fighting the bosses, you know the how, but do you know the why? Each week Matthew Rossi and Anne Stickney make sure you Know Your Lore by covering the history of the story behind World of Warcraft

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: I cannot see the future

Frankly, the Bladestorm nerf is a minor one, albeit an extremely annoying minor one.

How to beat Terran in StarCraft II Beta: Part II

I play pretty much 100% as Terran during the StarCraft II Beta so far. I played a little as Zerg and Protoss in some custom games but honestly, they got boring to me
