In FFXIV you don’t exactly have classes you choose at character creation. From what I gather you have certain disciplines that act exactly in the same way that the class system does in most other MMORPGs we’re familiar with.
Did first 4 bosses on ICC 25 man - My better upgrades are going to come from 25 so I should do them more often. Don’t need much loot in 10’s.
Bill and I had a rare games day yesterday which, as always, started with a ritual gorging on an orgy of food at Denny’s, and then graduated into a game of the new Axis & Allies (which I’m hoping Bill will review on his site ) before moving into a few rounds of Panzer General: Allied Assault , a game that I received for my birthday last month. Click to enlarge Panzer General is an interesting collaboration between Petroglyph Games and Ubisoft. The World War II strategy title was co-developed for the Xbox 360 (XBLA) and meatspace game market.
So with content getting easier you would think that I wouldn’t moan so much at being kept challenged by people who want to experiment in dungeons. I am a Dps at heart. Long time readers will remember my complete and utter disdain at being made to heal. But I want my cake badges.
A long time ago I did play the original King’s Bounty from 1990. The game then evolved into the Heroes of Might & Magic series, but with some noteable changes: In King’s Bounty you just had one hero with his army, while most of the time in the HOMM series you had several heroes with armies. When King’s Bounty: The Legend came out in 2008, I bought it, but the game shared the fate of so many other games I bought, being left unplayed on a shelf.
This is a guest post by Professor Beej . I figure that it’s safe to assume that most of you reading this are healers.
Epic Crafting: Gunship Battle A very interesting read, especially if you like to learn more about the way the development team designs raid encounters! Quote from: Zarhym ( Source ) As the confrontation with the Lich King draws nearer, fire erupts in the skies above Icecrown Citadel. Skybreaker and Orgrim’s Hammer, the flag-flying gunships of the Alliance and Horde, clash near Deathbringer’s Rise — but it wasn’t too long ago that they were just ideas on paper. Read on to find out how our development team built this airborne assault: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/gunship-battle.xml Deadly Fireworks: Building Icecrown Citadel’s Gunship Battle The frozen earth of Icecrown roils with throngs of the undead Scourge, reanimated bodies so numerous that there are few physical locations where the Horde and the Alliance can build their camps and strongholds.
There are are currently two styles of paladin healing builds at endgame: one focusing on Flash of Light, and one focusing on Holy Light. The Holy Light build is the pretty standard gem-everything-with-Intellect build that we all know and love. It relies on massive amounts of Intellect so that mana regeneration from Replenishment and Divine Plea is maximized
I’ve never had a guest post before, because no one has ever asked, but Chris the Shadow Troll did, and I would like to introduce him to you in this here guest post! Guest Post – Leveling a Shadow Priest Hello there! Unfortunately for you guys I am not the Pugnacious Priest, I’m Chris from The Shadow Troll blog and Zahraah has been nice enough to let me steal her blog for today.
Ten wipes on Putricide, no kill. Damn it all! We came so damn close, too.
A few posts back long-time reader/commenter Phil mentioned he was going with an AoE spec for trash. I ended up pulling the plug on my dusty PvP spec and switched it over to try out Enhancement Shaman AoE.
…is always a good thing to farm when leveling a new pet. By the time my Lava Dog hits 80, I should have enough in the freezer to last me through ’til Cataclysm.
This is a guest post by Epiphanize, a Resto Druid, and co-host of Raid Warning . So you’ve just shaken the frost off of your branches and are staring down the entrance to Icecrown Citadel, the final raid of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. You and nine of your closest guildies (or 9 random pugs if your unlucky) are ready to face the challenges that await you in your quest to take down Arthas.
A lot of things have changed since the introduction of Dual-specs. Players, and indeed raids as a whole have become much more versatile. A lot of times guilds are calling on Hybrid classes that have healing capabilities to heal in a pinch, my guild is no exception and all of my healing capable raiders do indeed have a healing spec ready just in case.
We’d rolled Naxxramas, trounced Malygos, beaten Sartharion and his little drakes to death — and that was all there was to do in Tier 7.
I was very excited as we formed up the Raid for Ice Crown Citadel. Please note, this is a description of my night raiding Ice Crown. There are spoilers in this post

My Dispersion ball has disappeared. I am no longer a ball. It took me a while to use it, as during trash pulls, my mana regen was ok and we were moving pretty fast so I was just throwing my fiend out when I was getting low, so it took a while for me to decide to disperse
Fall of the Lich King: Patch 3.3.0 Notes As expected, patch 3.3 is going live this week.
