3.3.3 Random Dungeons, Blue posts, WoW TCG

Patch 3.3.3 – Random Dungeons Changes Patch 3.3.3 should be deployed during the next maintenance on live servers and it’s time to mention a few interesting changes to the Dungeon Finder that I forgot to report in the past weeks.

Is Burst More Fun?

I whined about it a little yesterday. I’m going to try to be less whiny about it today.? The question I have in mind today follows directly from my whining.??Still, I want to ask it on a larger level, and not just pertaining to Warlocks.? Fundamentally, the QotD is this: Is Burst DPS More Fun

Breafast Topic: Do you use all available buffs when pugging?

I rarely notice buffs when I’m running heroic dungeons. Granted, every buff helps in maximizing DPS or survivability, but I personally don’t find it really necessary . Do you absolutely have to have Blessings of Kings or a Prayer of Fortitude

Spiritual Guidance: Bleeding the Blood Queen

On Wednesdays, Fox Van Allen takes control of Spiritual Guidance and spams all sorts of shadowy goodness.

Twink Experiment

As a guild we like to do stuff together.

Spiritual Guidance: Survivability versus DPS

Every Wednesday (you know, ideally Wednesday, when he’s not slacking off), Fox Van Allen grabs hold of Spiritual Guidance from her holiness Dawn Moore and makes everything just a little darker than usual. Don’t worry, he usually remembers to unlock the closet and let her out when he’s done.

PvP: An Expansion in Ponderance: Resilience and Burst

The start of any expansion is a rough time for PvP. I only have two expansion packs to draw on here, but they both followed the same pattern

Blizzard’s Official Mastery System Preview

Here’s how the system works: As you spend points in a given talent tree, you’ll receive three different passive bonuses specific to that tree.

Mastery System Preview

Mastery System Preview Quote from: Eyonix ( Source ) Last week, we gave you an early look at the changes we?re making to the stat system in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, and explained how these changes will ultimately provide players with more interesting gear choices and make stats easier to understand. Today we?d like to go into more detail about a brand-new feature that?s an integral part of this overhaul: the Mastery system, a set of new game mechanics designed to allow players to become better at what makes their chosen talent tree cool or unique. With this system, we want to accomplish three things: give players more freedom in how they allocate talent points, simplify some of the ?kitchen sinky? talents that try to do too much at once, and add a new stat to high-level gear that makes you better at your chosen role

PvP: An Expansion in Ponderance: Death Knights

I suppose I should start with the obvious: Death Knights. Death Knights… well, they didn’t actually do so great this expansion.

Stat changes in Cataclysm: Protection Paladin Style

H ey Gang! So, Blizzard has finally announced how the stat changes might look when the new expansion comes out.

Cataclysm: Stat and system changes for shadow priests

Fire! Brimstone! Dragons! Heroic Van Cleef ! The world is going to get turned upside down when Cataclysm hits, and the shadow priest spec is going to get turned upside down right along with it.

3.3 Demonology Warlockery

F or some time now, I’ve been running my second spec as Demonology. I primarily use the spec for the daily random heroic that I run, but I’ve also lately found it quite fun in Battlegrounds. I want to go on record here at that start saying that everything I learned about this spec, I learned from the late Abigore (not that he’s died, mind you, just moved on to other things) and his wonderful guides .? Since he’s no longer blogging, I wanted to take the time to continue what he started, even if my advice will be somewhat more casual and less involved.? The spec is a great spec, and it deserves to be broadcast in it’s own right.? I will still (and probably always) raid Affliction, but Demonology has strengths where Affliction has weaknesses, making it perfect for a second spec.

Lich King Weapons Changes, Blue posts

Upcoming Lich King Weapon Changes A couple of days ago a message was posted on the official Korean site to announce upcoming changes to the weapons dropped by the Lich King, as far as I know these changes affect both normal and heroic versions of the weapons. Thanks to locriani for the help with the translation! Quote from Blizzard staff Good morning from the WoW community team. Some of the weapons from the Lich King are not as good as we had hoped.

Tanking and Survivability Changes

From CrygilWe are making some adjustments to tank survivability based on what were seeing in Icecrown Citadel.

Lich King US First Kill, Tanking Changes

Lich King 25 Normal Mode US First Kill by Vodka Vodka was the first guild to defeat the Lich King on the US realms, congratulations to them! Tanking and Survivability Changes Quote from: Crygil ( Source ) We are making some adjustments to tank survivability based on what we?re seeing in Icecrown Citadel. We feel this is particularly important in preparation for upcoming Heroic attempts

Prot on Prot Hate

Today my buddy Rhidach was talking about the abuse being thrown Paladins way both in game on the Forums. It’s even infiltrated once great sites like Tankspot. It has made meaningful discussion nearly impossible on the Official Forum, not that it was an easy task even before this

"The Paladin Method…is probably too good"

/C ower Yeah, when I see this coming out of GhostCrawler’s crabby mouth, I tuck my tail under and run.

Guest Post: Leveling a Shadow Priest by The Shadow Troll

I’ve never had a guest post before, because no one has ever asked, but Chris the Shadow Troll did, and I would like to introduce him to you in this here guest post! Guest Post – Leveling a Shadow Priest Hello there! Breakfast Topic: Your predictions for arena season eight

In season seven, we saw beast cleave (beast mastery hunter + enhancement shaman + holy paladin) win the majority of high-profile tournaments and become quite popular. Very few saw it coming . Beast cleave, of course, got handed several nerfs (only one of which was serious) which many considered a death knell, but the composition is still very strong.
