Around Azeroth: The joy of sloth

As we’ve all learned from Garfield , cats are prone to laziness. Also, they enjoy tormenting their sexless, despondent owners, although real cats will prefer to eat your iPod ear buds before any lasagnas

Around Azeroth: Would you kindly stop referencing Bioshock?

While attempting to create a Loot Crazed Diver costume, Firesnake of on Darkspear wound up turning himself into a Big Daddy . After spending some time in the thrall of a particularly persuasive female gnome who kept calling him “Mr.

Everquest’s 11th Anniversary Celebration

Oh where has the time gone?

Around Azeroth: Electric boogaloo

Guys, we need to talk about our utility bills here. Now, we all like to put on a good show for the adventurers, but some of you are going too far with the special effects

Godmodding and Griefing

I very rarely take on other bloggers around here, especially bloggers participating in fun things like Single Abstract Noun , the new “bloggy” guild that’s sprung up over on Argent Dawn. Unfortunately, I came across this today – The Single Abstract Noun Bad RP Challenge, and (as I’m sure you’re going to notice) it’s made me rather upset

Around Azeroth: I hate pugs

Due to the pre-expansion economic downturn, there’s simply no more room at the Dalaran Home for Unwanted and/or Annoying Non-Combat Pets. So Valafar of on Exodar had to find a less palatable solution for getting rid of his pug when it became overly aggressive.

The Daily Quest: Showing off your UI

Here at WoW.com we’re on a Daily Quest (which we try to do every day, honest) to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW -related links from around the blogosphere. Is there a story out there we ought to link or a blog we should be following

Around Azeroth: For a thousand summers

Vendarvan of on Kael’Thas knows that you can’t hurry love. He’s decided to sit and wait for his true love, the Maiden of Winter’s Breath Lake , to warm up to his advances. When you can live for thousands of years, hanging around for a couple of years waiting for a date isn’t that big a deal.

Around Azeroth: If wishes were fishes

Looking to hook the big one?

Phat Loot Phriday: Glorenzelg, High-Blade of the Silver Hand

Glorenzelg, High-Blade of the Silver Hand lives on multiple best-in-slot lists.

Around Azeroth: Kiko and the lavender moon

Yes, yes, it’s my second Los Lobos reference in as many days, but they’re a good band and “That Train Don’t Stop Here” is pretty tight. Anyway, Karli sent in this screenshot of her character using the Rituals of the New Moon to give her lupine friend some companionship.

The real purpose of end-game

So Ferrel wants to bring back the grind and make leveling slower again, while Chris thinks leveling should be slowed down by giving less xp for quests . Both talk about how much better life was in Everquest, where most players never even reached the level cap (I didn’t), and how MMORPGs should be about the journey, not about the destination.

Around Azeroth: Mesdames butterfly

I’m pleased to announce that due to the acquisition of our parent company by one Mr. Andrew Ryan, Around Azeroth will now be changed to Around Rapture

Around Azeroth: The taurlock

Tired of managing her totems, Naiara of on Earthen Ring is seeking a new path in life. “Ever since I won the roll on the gas mask I knew I must put my evil plan in motion!” she writes. “Never fear, this is just an ordinary mad scientist ..

Blood Sport: Should racials be removed?

Want to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women? Blood Sport investigates the entirety of all-things arena for gladiators and challengers alike. C.

One Shots: Goodbye, bear

Filed under: World of Warcraft , Fantasy , Screenshots , One Shots It’s always hard to retire a character you love — or to see your friends move on from a game you’ve played together for quite some time. Today’s World of Warcraft One Shots shows off one such bittersweet moment with a goodbye dance and /wave from Nakirush . The note goes on to explain: Oh bear tank…

Around Azeroth: Dragons in the mist

Deadlylupine of on Balnazzar snapped this shot of her drake rising through the mist in Terokkar Forest. “I happened to be flying in lovely Terokkar, and my Nether Drake was just so overwhelmed with light, he had to have a celebratory roar,” she wrote. Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder

Around Azeroth: Will the wolf survive

With the number of mounts, vanity pets and summonable creatures in WoW, it’s surprising that we don’t see more incidents like this one. A?ro of on Fizzcrank is having trouble keeping her newly acquired wolf mount from devouring her phoenix pet. She’s not just looking out for the safety of the bird — those phoenixes can cause a heck of a case of heartburn if they ignite on the way through the wolf’s esophagus.

Around Azeroth: Personal space

We’ve been getting quite a few submissions from the Sindragosa fight lately.
