WoW forums: to drop or not to drop tailoring
Written by Jagmas.

Tailors are needed to sew good clothes in World of Warcraft - Image 1To drop or not to drop tailoring, that is the question. Well, it’s the one on the mind of one player Skekses in World of Warcraft. Skekses admitted to not having found any lucrative use for the tailoring profession on Blizzard’s forums. Nevertheless, the player was understandably hesitant about dropping it after having invested so much moment and effort into learning the skill.

Not surprisingly, opinions on the matter varied among Blizzard forum members. Some WoW players suggested that Skekse drop tailoring only whether the player is purely into PVP. Others extolled the virtues of other professions, such as engineering. Still others said that the value of tailoring will be more clearly seen in the Wrath of the Lich King update.

Blizzard blue poster Drysc, however, had a slightly different take on the issue:

I would recommend against it personally, just considering there hasn’t been any announcements made on the direction for professions in Lich King. Of course you always have the ability to re-level it whether you want to, so just sort of weigh the risks and see what’s going to produce your play date the most enjoyable.

After all is said and done, it seems that Skekse may need to take a risk and experiment a bit in World of Warcraft in order to see which profession would fit best.
