WoW PTR patch bug: “that update does not need to be applied”
Written by .
With World of Warcraft’s patch 2.2.0 going live on the normal servers very soon, we’ll be taking a quick look at the experiment realms. Blizzard representative Hortus dropped by the WoW forums earlier to report an error notice that was apparently being experienced by guys with a PTR detail. Here reads the error:
This update does not need to be applied. It requires version 2.1.3.6898 of “WoW.exe”, but you already have version 2.2.0.7272.
Following that notification, Hortus additionally explained what was causing that patch problem:
This is considering the live realms were updated after the latest PTR patcher was updated. whether you did not update the PTR before updating your live build you will not currently be able to update your PTR.
Hortus further explained that Blizzard was already looking into the problem. That’s the latest on WoW’s PTRs. Guys who may want to check on that matter again may want to visit Hortus’ post via the read link, as he promised updates in case that error was fixed.
